What runs locally
Colours, gradients, fullscreen and PNG files are handled in your browser. Notes you type stay in the page until you download them, print them, or choose “Keep on this device”.
Storage
- Session storage holds the draft nickname and notes on the guided page until the tab’s session ends.
- Local storage is used only after you press Keep on this device. The key is
whitescreenchecker.notes.v1. - Clear saved notes, or clear this site’s data in the browser, deletes that copy. There is no account copy.
What we do not collect
No analytics script, no advertising script, no camera, no microphone, and no upload of notes, spots or screenshots. Fonts are self-hosted. A shared URL may contain a colour hex. Do not put observations or serial numbers in the address bar. The notes form asks you not to type a serial number.
Logs
If you host this on Cloudflare, the network can keep ordinary request logs for the site itself, such as an IP address and the URL. That is hosting traffic, not the contents of a test. This repository does not add a tracker on top.
Children
The site is a display utility. It does not ask for an age or an account.
